What to wear

Trying to determine what you should wear to different types of events can be quite daunting, particularly when you have a variety of options available to you. When there is a firm dress code in place the decision is partly made for you, as there are only certain things that you can wear. However, in cases where there is no particular dress code, you need to be able to determine what is going to fit in, look good, and in some cases also be practical.

There are many different types of events that you may attend depending on the activities you enjoy and your interests, and the dress code required will vary for each one. For instance, many people enjoy going to nightclubs and the dress code can vary from one to another. Most nightclubs will be looking for smart casual attire, which means avoiding clothing such as trainers or ripped jeans and opting instead for something that is smart and trendy to reflect the overall vibe of the venue. This could include that slinky little black dress, smart trousers and shirt, or something more glamorous depending on the type of nightclub you are going to.

If you are planning to head to a festival on the other hand, the last thing you want to be doing is trotting around in a muddy field wearing your best clothing. This is where you jeans, T-shirts, and even your wellies will prove invaluable, as you can focus on enjoying the festival and music rather than worrying about getting mud on your footwear and clothing!

Many people enjoy a night out at the casino, and the dress code for these venues can vary depending on which one you go to. By and large, people tend to dress up for a night at the casino but for those who want to enjoy the excitement of the slots and tables games without dressing up playing at sites such as Royal Vegas Casino from the comfort of home is another option. Of course, some people prefer to be able to get dressed up and head to a bricks and mortar casino to enjoy an evening of gaming, in which case you should look at the dress code for the particular casino you are visiting – often smart casual. However, when you play at Royal Vegas Online Casino you can access gaming news, exciting games, bonuses, and more. You can look forward to a different kind of gaming experience while relaxing with a drink and in your casual wear at home or with friends.

Whatever type of event you are attending, it is always a good idea to familiarise yourself with the standard dress code, as this will help to ensure that you wear attire that is going to fit in. You can then more easily decide what you should wear in order to ensure you dress appropriately for the event.

Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamom

Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamon cologne blog review aimerose
This September British fragrance & cosmetics brand Jo Malone London will launch a new collection of products with the scents of Mimosa & Cardamom. When I first heard of the new launch, I was especially keen on trying it myself as I live in a city called The Capital of Mimosa!

“A new bohemia awaits. Mists of honeyed, golden mimosa float above the spiciness of freshly crushed cardamom. Creamy tonka and smooth sandalwood woven under powdery heliotrope and Damask rose picked at dawn. Warm, ethereal, mesmerising.” - Jo Malone.

The three main notes, Cardamom, Mimosa and Tonka Bean makes the fragrance very sensual, warm yet soft and creamy. For me it's the perfect scent for fall or for the evening wear all year round. The scent is definitely unique to anything I've tried from other perfumers and from Jo Malone range as well. It's beautiful and it's a must try!

COLOGNE JO MALONE MIMOSA & CARDAMOM (SAMPLE)

Mimosa & Cardamom will be available in 30ml and 100ml cologne, 250ml body & hand wash, 175ml body crème and 200g home candle.

Hello, I live here

When we arrived in France and I saw the view from our apartment my jaw dropped and I totally had the Carrie 'hello, I live here' moment when she first visited her & Mr Big's penthouse in Manhattan on Sex and the City. Whilst our teeny tiny apartment is far away from anything you'd see in the show, I fell head over heels about the balcony & the view. I always admired places with beautiful views hoping someday to have one for myself. And even though the space we live in is way too tiny to absolutely love it, the balcony makes up for the fact and that is where I spent most of the time when I'm home, watching the yachts come and go and the Alps in the background when it's not so smoggy. I really can't wait to have my own place that I could decorate the way I want, a place with a proper kitchen, a place to build a life in, however that won't be happening in the near future as we travel so much from country to country like gypsies. And I love traveling more that anything, so I guess that's what you get with this lifestyle.

A day in Fréjus Saint-Raphaël

Yesterday we went on a yacht ride in Frejus and had a little time left to explore the city. Even though it's still ridiculously hot in France and we only tried to stay in the shade all the time, it was great seeing more of Southern France. I loved it there, Frejus has it all - the beach, dozens of cafes and restaurants, shopping and much more. It's a perfect setting for me which is also why I want to live in LA, to be close to the beach, have the perfect weather all year round and still live in a big city that has it all.

C'est la canicule

Tuesday, July 14 · Location - Cannes

It's a scorcher. France is under a heat wave and it's not going away any time soon! As much as I love summer and hot days, this is just too much, I'm literally not leaving the house until sundown. Nothing feels refreshing a anymore and the heat is slowing me down in a big way! You know it's a real deal when the pool temperature at 8 in the morning reach 30 degrees of Celsius. I hope you guys are having a great summer, and as for me, I think I'm just gonna stay in and wait for Fall to roll in..!
