TATCHA Japanese skincare inspired by Geisha blog review
I was fascinated by Geishas and Japan culture for as long as I can remember. There's just something so different, even magical about it... Something unknown. When I discovered TATCHA - luxury skincare inspired by Geisha beauty rituals, I just knew I was going to love it. And I do. I absolutely do.

On the trip to Kyoto, the brand founder Victoria Tsai discovered world of a pure beauty, craftsmanship and heritage. She learned beauty secrets from a real Geisha. She learned that when it comes to skincare, less is more. TATCHA skincare collection was guided and inspired by skin care philosophy and time-tested ingredients that were captured in an ancient text, considered to be the oldest beauty book written in Japan, perhaps the first of it's kind. The story of the brand is just so inspiring on it's own!

TATCHA PURE ONE STEP CAMELLIA CLEANSING OIL - a beautiful blend of camellia and rice brand oils. You have to use it with dry hands and dry face, and it melts all the makeup away. Since it doesn't contain mineral oil, there's no need to cleanse your face after. It smells absolutely amazing (just like Camellias) and leaves the skin crystal clear and soft. "Discovery is an essential ingredient of beauty. The glowing skin and flowing hair unique to Anko, the Camellia-harvestingwomen of Oshima Island, were a mystery to most outsiders. But not to the geisha, keepers of Japanese beauty secrets for generations."

For the best results, follow up with TATCHA POLISHED CLASSIC RICE ENZYME POWDER. This was new to me, I haven't tried anything like this before. It's an actual powder that you mix with water and use the foamy mixture to exfoliate your face. It leaves the face polished and baby soft. "When brewing their fabled drink, Japan's sake masters, the Toji, constantly immerse their hands in Rice Bran, only to have them emerge fresh, pure, ageless. Geisha noticed this phenomenon and they still include Rice Bran among their beauty secrets today."
